Design & Construction of Sewer Pump Station- Rehabilitation & Pump Replacement

SP024 Wendall St, Norman Park

  • Replace existing wet well ladder approx. 5m length;
  • Replace wet well top slab;
  • Rehabilitate wet well walls;
  • Install a Vactor pipe in the wet well;
  • Replace the pumps in dry well;
  • Replace non return valve on pump number 1;
  • Replace dry well sump pump pipework;
  • Replace potable water pipework from the RPZD and replace broken hand basin in dry well;
  • Replace dry well vent fan ducting cover.

SP034 Sandy Camp Rd, Wynnum

  • Replace ladders in both inlet manholes, approx. 7m length;
  • Remove old wet well ladder and redundant PVC stilling tube, newer stainless steel ladder to remain;
  • Replace wet well top slab;
  • Rehabilitate wet well walls;
  • Install Vactor pipe and air line in wet well;
  • Replace pumps in dry well;
  • Replace suction and discharge Isolation valves and non return valves;
  • Upgrade dry well lights to diffused baton type;
  • Install robust protection over exposed external PVC sump pump pipework;
  • Replace dry well vent fan and ductwork.
  • Extend Switchboard concrete slab to cover earth stake.

SP059 Wharf St, Shorncliffe

  • Replace wet well top slab;
  • Install new Vactor pipe and air line in wet well;
  • Replace ladder in wet well;
  • Remove redundant PVC stilling tube in wet well;
  • Replace Pumps in dry well;
  • Replace suction and discharge Isolation valves;
  • Blast and paint access ladder running tracks;
  • Seal ground water leaks into well around pipe penetration and paint walls of dry well;
  • Replace dry well fan and ducting;
  • Replace sump pump and potable water pipework;
  • Install area lighting above switchboard.

SP112 Wynnum Rd #1, Cannon Hill

  • Replace wet well top concrete slab;
  • Rehabilitate wet well walls;
  • Install new Vactor pipe and air line in wet well;
  • Replace wet well ladder;
  • Replace Pumps in dry well;
  • Replace suction and discharge Isolation valves;
  • Replace non return valves;
  • Replace dry well vent fan and ducting.

SP130 Villiers St, Tingalpa

  • Remove step irons and install ladder in inlet manhole
  • Replace wet well top slab. Note this wet well is in the road and will require traffic control.
  • Replace the hanging submersible pumps in wet well
  • Replace wall pipes and wall pipe brackets
  • Replace the trafficable gattic cover frame over valve pit
  • Replace non return valves in valve pit
  • Replace wall pipes from wet well to valve pit and seal pit walls.
  • Reconfigure pipework to make Uniflange more accessible.
  • Install 50nb drain from the valve pit to the wet well with tideflex valve on the valve pit end.

SP217 Balcara Ave, Carseldine

  • Replace step irons with ladder in inlet manhole 1;
  • Replace ladder in inlet manhole 2;
  • Replace top slab of wet well;
  • Replace wall pipes and wall pipe brackets in wet well;
  • Replace discharge isolation valves (currently buried new installation in new valve pit);
  • Replace NRVs;
  • Replace valve pit and covers to house NRVs, Isolation valves and pressure transducer. New valve pit to be drained to the wet well with a 50nb tideflex valve. New pipework is to incorporate a dismantling joint so that valves can be removed easily as well as a DN100 bypass pumping connection point.;
  • Investigate ground settlement around switchboard and rectify issue;
  • Note the pumps have been replaced at this station recently however we still require the contractor to do the pump station draw down test to confirm the current pump duty point and system curve.

SP247 Darien St, Bridgeman Downs

  • Install Vactor pipe top fitting and install air pipe in GCMH;
  • Replace gattic cover lids to GCMH;
  • Replace ladder in GCMH;
  • Replace hanging submersible pumps in wet well;
  • Replace wet well top slab;
  • Blast and paint wall pipes;
  • Install access ladder in wet well;
  • Replace Vactor pipe top fitting and air connection to wet well;
  • Remove redundant sluice valves in valve pit;
  • Blast and paint wall pipes, replace pipe spools and Uniflanges;
  • Install 50nb drain from valve pit to wet well with tideflex valve at valve pit end;
  • Replace valve pit lids;
  • Modify bypass connection to QUU standard with trafficable lid;
  • Replace all concrete around site generally and tidy up landscaping;

SP248 Port Drive, Lytton

  • Replace Vactor pipe top fitting and air connection in GCMH;
  • Blast and coat manhole lid and frame for GCMH;
  • Replace ladder in GCMH;
  • Replace submersible pumps in wet well;
  • Blast and paint wall pipes in wet well;
  • Replace swing check valves on discharge hose connection bend;
  • Wet well wall is cracked and requires repair. This will require the contractor to engage a suitably qualified civil structural design engineer to make an assessment of the failure and provide a design for the repairs. This will involve Geotech investigation as well as confined space entry into the wet well to inspect the failure. Design work shall need to be submitted to QUU for review and acceptance at concept and final design stages;
  • Replace Vactor pipe top fitting and air connection in wet well;
  • Replace wall pipes into valve pit;
  • Install 50nb drain pipe from valve pit to wet well with tideflex valve at valve pit end;
  • Install new non return valves and isolation valves etc in new valve pit;
  • Install area lighting;
  • Investigate ground settlement issue around switchboard and stabilise and replace concrete slab.

SP253 Halleys Cres, Bridgeman Downs

  • Replace Vactor pipe top fitting and air connection in GCMH;
  • Replace top slab of GCMH;
  • Replace ladder in GCMH;
  • Replace knife gate valve in GCMH;
  • Replace Vactor pipe top fitting and air connection in GCMH;
  • Replace hanging submersible pumps in wet well;
  • Replace wall pipes in wet well;
  • Replace swing check valves on hose connection bend;
  • Replace Vactor pipe top fitting and air connection in wet well;
  • Blast and Paint wall pipes, replace spool pieces and Uniflanges in valve pit;
  • Install 50nb drain pipe to wet well with Tideflex valve;
  • Install new non return valves and isolation valves in valve pit;
  • Resurface asphalt driveway suitable for service truck access. Allow PC sum for 150m2.

SP256 Constellation Way, Wynnum

  • Widen concrete driveway and modify gates and fence to allow service vehicle access beside wet well. Will need to relocate the existing potable water service and lower an existing manhole to achieve this. Approx. 15m2 required as per sketch.
  • Replace valve spindle plumber block bearings in GCMH
  • Replace Vactor pipe top fitting and air connection in GCMH
  • Replace hanging submersible pumps in wet well.
  • Blast and paint wall pipes in wet well.
  • Replace swing check valves on hose connection bend.
  • Replace Vactor pipe top fitting and air connection in wet well.
  • Repair aluminium lids and locking mechanisms and replace all seals on wet well and valve pit.
  • Replace 100nb Isolation Valves and one of the non return valves in the valve pit.
  • Install 50nb drain pipe from valve pit to wet well with Tideflex valve at valve pit end.
  • Blast and Paint wall pipes and replace spool pieces in valve pit and inspect condition of wall pipes due to possible valve pit settlement.

SP292 Wirriboot Court, Karana Downs

  • Replace submersible pumps including pedestals and guide rails, guide rail brackets, existing pedestals are loose;
  • Blast and paint wall pipes in wet well;
  • Replace Ladder in wet well;
  • Replace scour valve in valve pit;
  • Install 50nb drain from valve pit to the wet well with Tideflex valve;
  • Reline wet well walls and the underside of the top slab;
  • Clean out flowmeter pit and install pipe supports for pipework;
  • Recommission flowmeter;
  • Blast and paint wall pipes and replace all nuts and bolts for
  • Stainless Steel in flowmeter pit;
  • Construct block retaining wall around valve pit to allow storm water run off to be directed around the valve pit and reposition bypass connection isolation valve cover boxes. Backfill wall and lay turf;
  • Replace vent pipe that has broken away from wet well slab;
  • Widen concrete access driveway to remove trip hazard for drivers as they exit their service vehicle. Slab to be 7m x 1m generally as indicated on the sketch here;
  • Remove corrosion from bypass connection. Polish and passivate camlock fitting;
  • Install area lighting.
